On January 22nd 2008 at 2:26 PM, Fairview Firefighters were alerted to smoke coming from a house at 7 Lyford Lane in the town of Poughkeepsie. First arriving crews found heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the house. Under the direction of Chief Tory Gallante, first arriving crews made an aggressive attack. FF Chad Clouting, Lt. Chris Maeder, and Vol. Lt. Justin Bohlmann took the first attack line into the house, while FF Mark Meyerson secured a water source and pumped 41-11. FF Mark Bendel, assigned to 41-45 vented the second floor. A quick stop was made, and overhaul was completed. Mutual Aid was received from the City of Poughkeepsie FD, Arlington FD, and Roosevelt FD.
