The Fairview Fire District uses a system of lock-boxes on commercial and residential properties within the fire district.   The benefit of having these products are numerous.  Most importantly, they allow for the immediate access to the property when an emergency exists without the need to damage doors and other access points.  Fairview personnel have keys (they are secured to the apparatus and require unique access codes) to open these lock-boxes. 

Prior to installing the box, please consult the Public Education Coordinator for the proper location.  

To purchase a lock-box follow the steps below.  Remember to call the station to have them secured once the box is installed and whenever keys are changed.

Knox Products Purchasing Process

We are happy to assist you with the purchasing process of any Knox product for the Fairview Fire District.

Please visit the website below.

Once there, click on buy now. From there you will be asked to find Fairview; you may do this by either name or zip (please note Fairview Westchester also has Knox so verify the address). Once you’ve found us, click on the green tab for pre-authorize and you will be taken to their products page. (We are listed under Fairview Fire Dist- Poughkeepsie/Hyde Park 258 VIOLET AVE POUGHKEEPSIE, NY 12601-1236) On the left hand side of the screen there is a tab for your choices.

Please choose the box you see fit. For complexes or office buildings, while we would assume there may be some type of master key involved, we always recommend a box that will fit up to 5 keys at the minimum so you shouldn’t have to upgrade in the future. Residential boxes should only be used for private one and two family dwellings.  

Once we receive the authorization request it will be processed for you. You will be notified via the email that you used on submission that your request has been approved.
